See Freeland’s newest gallery!

The artists of the Freeland Art Studios invite you to visit their new art gallery space on noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6. As part of the recent expansion, Freeland Art Studios has created a new gallery space in their working studio in downtown Freeland.

Meet some of the artists: Lloyd Whannell, Declan Travis, Lane Tompkins, Sue Taves, Woody Morris, Tom Lindsay and Penelope Crittenden will be at the studio to show you around. There will be a heater and hot cider and plenty of sculpture.

Freeland Art Studios is located at 1660 Roberta Ave. Turn onto Harbor Ave. one block south of the Hwy. 525/Main St. stop light and then turn left on Roberta Ave. between Whidbey Island Bank (not Heritage) and Wells Fargo Bank. FAS is located in the building behind the WAIF Thrift Store.

Open House at Freeland Art Studios

Join us for a “Business After Hours” event 5-7 PM on Thursday June 13. Come and see the work space of nine local artists who work in stone, metal, clay, glass, wood, mixed media and water. Meet the artists; Penelope Crittenden, Carol Rose Dean, Tom Lindsay, Woody Morris, Sara Owens, Frank Rose, Sue Taves, Lane Tompkins, and Lloyd Whannell. See fine art sculpture large and small, jewelry, ceramic tile and water features. Enjoy snacks and refreshments as you gain insight into the creative process and even win some art! We’ll be raffling off several beautiful items as well as demonstrating our new lapidary saw. We’ll be opening some geodes to look for surprises inside, if you’ve got your own mystery geode bring it along and we’ll slice it open!
You can find us at 1660 Roberta Avenue off of Harbor Ave in Freeland (behind Whidbey Island Bank and Waif Thrift.)
From Hwy 525, turn on Harbor Ave (one block south of the Main St/525 stoplight). Take an immediate Left onto Roberta between Whidbey Island Bank and Wells Fargo. Turn Left at Waif Thrift. Dean Tile is in the front building, all other studios spaces are in the back building.
